En uno de esos sucesos que bueno...suceden, Youtube se prepara para lanzar un canal de transmisión en vivo. Es como ver televisión en la computadora. No, no se trata de un espacio de humor producido en Hollywood (¡oh no, lo dijo!), sino de transmisión en directo de diferentes tipos. Esto incluye a artistas de otros medios y a celebridades de internet. ¡Wuuuu! La emoción inunda la habitación y todos nos ahogamos en felicidad. Diversión en línea (...como si Youtube no fuera lo suficientemente entretenido de por sí). Bueno, el canal se lanza el 22 de noviembre. Allá arriba está el contador. No hay mucho más que decir.

Halloween, Obama y algo más

Pocas veces la política me interesa, pero gracias entre otras cosas a SNL, la conmoción causada entre los estadounidenses por tener que votar entre un 'negro' y un 'viejo veterano', la forma en la que Sarah Palin ha degradado sola al sexo femenino y los emotivos discursos de McCain y Obama tras conocerse los resultados de las elecciones (spoiler alert: ganó Barack Obama), estas últimas elecciones en EEUU han sido algo realmente emocionante. Es triste recordar como se llevan a cabo las elecciones usualmente (sobretodo en nuestro querido país), terminando finalmente que elegir entre el menor de los males. Pero esta vez, sea cual sea la posición personal de cada uno frente al nuevo líder de la gran potencia, podemos decir que el pueblo nortemaricano eligió al que creyó el mejor candidato. ¿Por qué me tomo el trabajo de escribir sobre esto? Quizás porque ya que es el tema de moda suba los hits al blog, o quizás porque simplemente me parece adecuado mencionarlo... y porque quería aprovechar para decir que Sarah Palin es una idiota.



Por cierto, feliz Halloween atrasado. Más allá de lo que cada uno sienta al respecto, me parece una fiesta muy divertida con un contexto muy interesante... y además se ven cosas así:

El hombre sin espalda

Un pequeño cuento porque no tenía nada más que postear.



Una espalda, que no tiene nada que ver con mi post.

En una ciudad vivía un hombre. No importa como era físicamente ni como se llamaba. Como cualquier otro hombre, tenía sueños y ambiciones. Como varios hombres, había tenido una infancia feliz y sencilla. Como otros cuantos, sus padres lo querían y sus amigos también. Como solo algunos, creció rodeado de gente honesta en la cual podía confiar. Como solamente él, salió de su pueblo lleno de esperanzas y con todas las oportunidades del mundo abiertas. Luego llegó a la ciudad.

La ciudad, dicen, es un lugar lleno de calles, edificios, grandes tiendas, y muchas tantas cosas más que resultan bastante impersonales a un hombre del pueblo. Pero al hombre lleno de esperanzas no le importó. Entonces cometió su primer error.

En la ciudad pues, vive lo que se conoce como ‘gente hipócrita’, o ‘gente mentirosa’. El hombre del pueblo nunca había conocido a alguien así. Al punto en que las primeras veces que se encontró con ellos no se dio cuenta de lo que eran, pero ellos si lo reconocieron a él. El hombre del pueblo, aún confundido por la altura de los edificios y la bulla de las avenidas, se perdió pronto y pidió ayuda a quienes lo rodeaban. Estos le brindaron una mano, y con la otra le hicieron creer que estaba seguro. No resultó muy difícil. El hombre confiado, confiaba.

Así, tras perderse varias veces, y lejos del mundo conocido por él, el hombre del pueblo, con esperanzas y confiado, fue perdiendo todo lo que tenía a manos inescrupulosas y calculadoras. Hasta que finalmente, tras quedarse con nada en las manos, y desnudo en la calle, el hombre que perdió todo, descubrió que lo único que le quedaba, la esperanza, también le había sido arrebatada. Ahora el hombre no podía confiar más.

No es que no quisiera confiar más. Existe una diferencia muy grande entre poder y querer. El hombre que había perdido todo, aun quería confiar, pero si ya no tenía nada que dar, no tenía nada que perder, entonces no tenía nada que arriesgar y por lo tanto nada para confiar. Sólo quedaba el, solo, y descubrió que si quería volver a sentir seguridad para existir, debía deshacerse de aquello que hace vulnerables a todos los hombres a la traición. La espalda.

Deshacerse de la espalda no iba a ser fácil. En primer lugar, todos tienen una espalda. Es parte esencial de ser. Tenemos un adelante, hacía donde apuntan los ojos, con lo que no sería vulnerable por ese frente nunca más. Y luego tenemos el atrás. Atrás está la espalda, y como no hay ojos, no podemos ver y somos fácilmente vulnerables. La espalda sirve únicamente para apoyarse, y el hombre que ya no confiaba ya no quería apoyarse en nadie ni nada, por lo que concluyó que su espalda era totalmente prescindible. El hombre que no quería una espalda, tomó su decisión e inició su búsqueda por un método para quitarse la espalda de encima.

Como dije antes, no es fácil realizar dicha tarea. Y menos para alguien que vive en el pueblo, donde todos usan tanto sus espaldas. Incluso consideró otras posibilidades, como ponerse ojos en la espalda, pero ninguna alternativa sonaba tan bien como quitarse la espalda.

Fue primero donde un carpintero. Este le dijo que no podía quitarle la espalda, que era algo imposible, pero que podía darle un escudo con el cual protegerse. Pero el hombre no aceptó, ya que mientras aun tuviera una espalda seguiría vulnerable a que lo engañen y le quiten el escudo.
Luego fue donde un herrero. Este le respondió con la misma negativa. No había forma de quitarle la espalda. Pero le ofreció una armadura que lo protegería de todo lo malo en el mundo. El hombre volvió a rechazar la oferta aludiendo a que seguiría con miedo. No quería protegerse la espalda, quería deshacerse completamente de ella.

Así acabó donde un vidriero. Y como dicen que a la tercera va la vencida, el hombre encontró lo que buscaba. El vidriero le ofreció un espejo. El hombre que no confiaba aceptó entusiasmado. Vio a la única persona a la que no temía. A sí mismo. Y cuando se recostaba contra el espejo desaparecía su espalda. Era perfecto.

Así el hombre empezó a caminar con el espejo pegado a su espalda. Empezó a sentirse más seguro. Y el espejo nunca se separaba de su espalda.

El hombre con el espejo en la espalda empezó a recuperar poco a poco las cosas que había perdido. Incluso la confianza mostraba señales de querer volver. Todo parecía volver a la normalidad. Hasta que un día cometió el segundo error.

Por uno de esos azares en la vida se encontró frente a otro espejo, y vio el suyo en su espalda. Pero no se vio a si mismo en su espejo dorsal. Veía su propia espalda y la del otro sujeto. Pero no sabía quien era el otro sujeto. No lo podría saber hasta que se volteara. Pero a pesar de sus insistencias, no podía hacer que el otro sujeto se volteará. Ambos, igual de testarudos, e igual de insistentes, habían perdido la espalda y ninguno de los dos podía girar sobre su eje para verse cara a cara, sin arriesgarse a recuperar la espalda. El hombre que tenía el espejo en la espalda no sabía ya si podía sentirse seguro con el hombre en la espalda sin saber si ese hombre era alguien en quien confiaba. Pero razonó que mientras el espejo siguiera en su espalda, nadie podría hacerle daño, pues nadie podría alcanzar su espalda y el estaría siempre vigilante con los ojos hacía el frente. Solo tenía que encontrar la forma de voltear sin perder la espalda y ver quien estaba del otro lado. Y pensando en eso se fue a dormir.

Este fue el tercer error del hombre que no tenía espalda. Mientras dormía, siempre mirando hacía adelante, el hombre al otro lado del espejo tomó la decisión de arriesgarse a voltear y vio que el hombre del espejo en la espalda no había perdido la espalda, vio que aun estaba en su lugar, solo que estando ambos volteados, ninguno de los dos se percataba que esta seguía ahí. El hombre al otro lado del espejo tenía miedo de lo que el hombre con el espejo en la espalda fuera a hacer si descubría lo que el acababa de ver, así que permaneció toda la noche mirando la espalda del hombre que pensaba que ya no la tenía. Pero esto creo espaldas a ambos hombres, y cuando amaneció ambos habían sido emboscados por la gente que mentía, y ambos terminaron por perder lo poco que tenían, incluyendo sus reflejos.

El hombre que quiso perder su espalda, se perdió a si mismo, por eso ya no importa su nombre, pues en lo que respecta al mundo, alguien se lo robó y el quizá nunca existió, pero los espejos siguen ahí, y la gente que miente también.
